HJR 22-2 Attao, BJT Strongly supports a delay in the proposed coral critical habitat designation process by National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) until such time as the 5-year coral status review and coral recovery plan can be completed, and have the Department of Lands and Natural Resources work in coordination with NMFS in identifying appropriate coral critical habitat for the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) using Best Scientific Information Available. HJR 22-3 Staffler, LHFC To respectfully urge the Honorable Governor Ralph DLG. Torres to reallocate necessary funds generated by the fees paid for by prospective employers of foreign nonimmigrant workers to the Northern Marianas Technical Institute (NMTI). Details

HJR 22-11 Babauta, SJ To condemn the Government of Japan’s decision to dump nuclear waste into the Pacific Ocean, oppose any other government’s actions related to nuclear testing, storage, and waste disposal in the Pacific, and reaffirm everyone’s fundamental right to a safe and healthy living environment.
