MISSION STATEMENT
As we move forward into the 23rd Legislature, there are still a lot of work ahead of us to ensure that our government is in a position of fairness in government hiring and equal distribution ofresources. Recovering from the COVID-19 Pandemic should be our number one priority moving forward. For the 23rd Legislature, enforcement is key to accounting of all revenues generated by ensuring that all licensed revenue generating businesses faithfully pay their taxes. Through enforcement, we must find a way to control the ever-rising cost of commodities through price control legislation and other measures.
Through enforcement, we must hold all government agencies accountable for all acts of fraud, waste and abuse. I will recommend a government orientation on government operations to all current government employees and for new hires.
As the Chairman for the Committee of Federal and Foreign Affairs, I will focus on providing information to the general public on the on-going military build-up within and around the Commonwealth and issues affecting our CNMI’s military veterans and their dependents.
